Job Summary:

As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you will be responsible for prospecting and identifying new clients for Sourcemap. You will partner with our Account Executives (AEs) to hone your sales skills (emphasis on learning and development) to help businesses understand the value of Sourcemap as a compliance and sustainability solution and the benefits it provides to companies with complex supply chains.

This role can be fully remote or have the option for flexible office presence in downtown Manhattan.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Identify companies that fit Sourcemap’s Ideal Customer Profiles and create outreach strategies to penetrate the Total Addressable Market
  • Navigate prospective customer conversations to uncover business needs, understand challenges and opportunities and help to position Sourcemap as a compelling solution
  • Partner with AEs to successfully create opportunities to grow Sourcemap’s customer base
  • Develop and implement a co-selling strategy with Sourcemap’s channel partners and qualify the channel partner pipeline
  • Maintain and update an accurate activity log in Salesforce
  • Provide prospective customer feedback to the Sales and Marketing teams to help in advertising/marketing efforts as well as Sourcemap’s overall program
  • Identify areas of improvement in your workflow to provide operational recommendations to management and other teams

Experience Requirements and Skills:


  • 1+ years of experience in an Enterprise Sales or Business Development role
  • Experience with Salesforce, Outreach, LinkedIn Sales Navigator and/or ZoomInfo
  • Ability to proactively and professionally engage new clients through email and phone calls
  • Strong executive presence and confidence while navigating conversations to articulate the value of Sourcemap
